As Pattern Writer/Designer I am responsible for laying out machine embroidery projects for various hoop sizes, choosing coordinating fabrics and threads, determining fabric requirements and writing assembly instructions for all steps that happen outside the embroidery hoop.

Gotham Quilts began as an online-only shop for modern quilting fabric, which grew into a brick-and-mortar retail store. My roles included being head buyer, designing quilt patterns and kits, teaching, scheduling classes and designing our original fabric collection, My NYC.

Home Fashion Designer
Worked for several Home Fashion companies, primarily focused on bedding and bedding accessories. I couldn’t even tell you how many decorative pillows I’ve designed.
Contract Fabric Designer
Designed fabric for office and hospitality interiors for Guilford of Maine and Suzanne Tick, Inc. The majority of the fabric I designed was woven wallcoverings, but occasionally I got to work on things as varied as airport carpets or task chair upholstery.
